Kim English is an African American electronica, soul, gospel, and house music singer, born in Chicago, Illinois, United States.

DIVA. No other word so eloquently defines this singer / songwriter. A native to Chicago's gritty south side, Kim was bred on a steady diet of gospel, r&b and jazz. Oddly enough, Kim had never intended on being a recording artist. It was a chance meeting with Ten City's Byron Stingily and Byron Burke in 1994 that provided her an opportunity to explore her soon-to-be burgeoning career. The trio then, penned 'Nitelife' and the song became Ms. English's first Nervous Records single, and subsequently, an underground club smash. A successive string of club gems followed (including "Learn 2 Luv", "Tomorrow" and "Missing You" success wouldn't come for English until the release of "Unspeakable Joy". The gospel-inflected "Higher Things", then catapulted her from underground house vocalist to international dance diva.
New fans and old alike, are given another opportunity to revisit the singles and highlights from Kim's critically acclaimed debut with a twist. Coming is a 10-song collection. Comprises remixes and reinterpretations of her material by some of the most innovative and respected names in the dance music industry, including the "legendary" Junior Vasquez, Razor N Guido, Jazz-N-Groove, Mark Picchiotti and Chris Bran (aka Wambue Project).
From the sensorial soul-stirrings of "Been So Long" (Kim's powerful remake of the Anita Baker classic retouched by Wamdue Project's Chris Bran) to the thunderous # 1 Billboard Dance Music anthem "Unspeakable Joy".
The album also pairs Kim with an impressive array of up-and-coming producers on the dance music. On the horizon including: Mindtrap (Jason Ojeda and Motomo) who were responsible for Kim's recent smash "Missing You", Michael T. Diamond "Supernatural", Friburn & Urick "Time for Love", Boris & Beck "4 the Love of Music" and also Rivera & Trattner, who reinvent the classic "Nitelife".
